Coronavirus - COVID 19
We have provided a breakdown of the government announcements which can be found here:
For the most up to date news please visit the government website: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
With the government's announcements of individuals having minimal contact, the majority, if not all of our staff, will now be working from home.
Subject to health and further government announcements, we will therefore have a very limited number of staff at the office.
Staff will monitor their emails so feel free, instead of a telephone call, to use emails where the staff will get that email and respond accordingly.
Bear in mind that sometimes to be able to answer an email or call there may be information at the office they need to retrieve before they can respond, so please bear with us if your correspondence has not been responded to immediately.
Telephone calls will be received at the office as normal. We will then ask the individual member of staff that they wish to talk to, to contact you back where possible.
All meetings with clients, wherever possible, will be done over the telephone or through conference call.
If it is just one-to-one then a telephone call will suffice and we will send all documents to discuss prior to the telephone call.
If it is several parties involved, we have conference call facilities which we will set up with the particular client.
Subject again to health, we will continue to send items to you either by email or by post to sign and if you continue to send that back to us, we will have somebody here opening the post accordingly.
For those who bring their records in manually rather than electronically:-
We will be setting up a controlled area downstairs in the office at the back door for those records to be dropped off.
We will aim to keep that area as clean as possible and provide cleansing gels as well.
We would ask that the records are kept as clean as possible.
Should manual records be coming in from clients who have contracted the virus or show symptoms, we suggest those records are held off being brought to us.
If an immediate filing deadline will be due on those records (e.g. annual accounts, tax, VAT returns etc) could that client let us know as soon as possible so we can notify the appropriate authority of the situation and possibly get an extension to the time due to the potential risks.
If clients can think of any other issues, please feel free to contact me.
The full extent of what support the government will provide to small and medium-sized businesses no doubt will come from them over the next few days and weeks.
Two useful websites you may want to visit in the meantime are as follows:-
We would urge clients to continue to monitor the government websites on this.
My emails always go through to my phone, so in an emergency please email: - email@example.com.
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
